Here is Maggie with her winning Junie B. First grader book project. Our school hosted a Book Fair (similar to a science fair) where students read a book and created a display with info from the book! Maggie won second place! And yes she did all of the reading and writing of the project...mommy helped as the creative director :)

Last night was an Ugly Sweater party for the Welch Faculty. Although there are some ugly sweaters out there I decided to create our own. Jason got a window view of The Christmas story complete with working lights around his window, and I got to be a tree. Unfortunately the top of my tree didn't make it into the photo but I did have a star atop my tree (hair).
And a really cool outcome was that we WON! There were a few Ugly sweater prizes and we won a gift card for Target to buy some non-ugly sweaters :) While Camping at Frontier Town over Thanksgiving weekend, Cherylyn conquered the High Ropes course. Jason conquered the course over the summer but the photos weren't nearly as good. Since I was the only one completing the course at the time, they let Jason and Maggie walk along the ground as I completed the obstacles. This allowed Jason to photograph all of the obstacles. And now that we have both completed the course... we highly recommend you join us next time!!!!!! Poorly Luna went through spaying surgery last Friday. She did well during surgery and came home Saturday. This has been a tough process for us all because she was thrashing and running uncontrollably all Saturday and Sunday. So much so that when she did feel like getting up we all jumped out of her way to avoid the sharp plastic cone from ramming into out legs. However later that day she ended up thrashing around her crate and cracked the cone! So on Monday we went and got her the blue one. She has been much happier! On Tuesdays here in Dover the skating rink offers skating for kids 6 and under. This gives the little guys a chance to Learn how to skate without big kids around. This is the 3rd and last summer we can do this. Maggie will be 7 by next summer! |
